The DreamRoom Solarium is a wood hand crafted sunroom framed in the post and beam style. We use only kiln dried woods, usually Western Red Cedar or Douglas- Fir, hand selected for grain and color. However we can also produce them in Yellow Cedar, Oak, Maple, Mahogany or your choice of other available hardwoods.

All structural components are fabricated with posts and beams built-up and laminated from kiln dried 1 x 4 stock except for the Western Red Cedar which is also available in kiln dried 4 x 4 and 4 x 6 stock.

Glazing consists of clear double glazed insulating glass units. To ensure your comfort we usually suggest upgrading this basic glazing to Low-E (with Argon gas) or Heat Mirror tm units. Further upgrades might include Evergreen tm, Azurlite tm, or some other tinted or reflected glass. These glazing upgrades help to keep the room cool in summer and warm in winter by reflecting heat back towards its source. For safety reasons, all roof and wall insulated glazing units consist of tempered/tempered, tempered/laminated or tempered/heat strengthened laminated glass.

Ventilation and access is provided by a wide variety of window and door options. You can select from any number or combination of window styles- casement, awning or the European style tilt/turn. Door styles consist of single or double- solid or store (French) style doors, patio sliders or tilt/turn style entry doors. These options are all high quality wood framed products. We also offer an optional, budget priced thermally improved aluminum window (in slider, casement and awning configurations) and sliding patio door. These units are trimmed with wood to help them blend into the finished room.

The exterior of the room is completed with a maintenance free, aluminum pressure cap glazing system with matching flashings. Basic colors are dark brown or white, but custom colors are available.
